The Veterinarian has a wide professional intervention and the most important areas of activity are:
- Clinics of companion animals, farm animals and wildlife
- Animal health and hygiene (preventive veterinary medicine) which means the maintenance of herds in optimum conditions applying all the necessary medical and sanitary group procedures;
- Sanitary inspection, assuring the hygiene and quality along the food chain;
Technology of products from animal origin: the processing of milk and milk products, meat and meat products, eggs, fish, skin and wool;
- Animal production respecting the animal welfare and the environment;
Laboratory activities, in particular in the area of diagnostic and biotechnology;
- Teaching and research.
